I didn’t think I would get a chance to get out before Thursday, but after working with John during the morning, he had to pick up Hayley, and I took the oppertunity.

Today’s word was Hills. I doubt that it would rate any category in a pro race, but doing some hills is always good for the legs. Towards Portarlington from Drysdale there are a series of hills that are nice to ride. I then journeyed along the water front all the way to the boat house at St Leonard’s, and then up the murodoch road to Drysdale again. Hills, and at a good distance.

Again the magpies were out. Swooped three times, by three different birds. Hit by two, those birds flying straight into the helmet. Unexpected… I had only heard stories of swooping until recently. Now I am on the hunted list.

I felt good during the ride. Would like to put more km/s below my wheeels, so I think I will have to work on building an adverage speed upwards of what I currently do.
