Today was a day where I want to throw the bike into a fire, and just think about how I rode in 2007. Wind, stupid, stupid wind.

I was going to take the car over to Barwon Heads and join the guys on the Torquay route, but the distributer had disappeared when I was going to leave in the morning. So I just hit the open road and went for a ride.

I was joined by Simon (a dude from Portarlington) who rode with me to Melaluka road, which I turned off and rode to the large roundabout and to Ocean Grove, past the new shopping center and through to Queenscliff. I did one round of Queenscliff and back to Drysdale through Portarlington.

The hills back from Port were into the wind, and so even going down hill my average speed was 15 – 17 km/h. It was tough. Really hard. Now that I am back I am happy it is over.

I think the biggest hurdle was my mental attitude. Stupid mind getting in the way of a good ride. I think it still would have been tough…
